Hello 3rd Grade Engineers!
Our first STEM Challenge is here. We will use the Engineer Design Process and the Seesaw App to work collaboratively to solve a problem .
Our Learning Targets are:
(Innovative Designer 4.b.)
I can complete the steps of the Engineer Design Process within a project.
I can document my learning by adding text, audio, and video to my digital portfolio.

PLAN
Scientific Vocabulary- You will need to understand the following words in order to be successful. Review them with your group and think about how they can apply to your coin bridge.
Gravity: the invisible force that tries to pull everything down towards the center of the Earth.
Balance: an even distribution of weight that allows a person or object to remain upright and steady.
Center of Gravity: where the weight is distributed unevenly, like in a hammer, the center of gravity would be closer to the heaviest part of the hammer; in a baseball, the center of gravity would be in the middle..
Counterbalance: a weight that balances another weight.
Stability: firmly fixed, not likely to overturn.
